Sereact Raises €25M to Boost AI-powered Robotics

Insider Brief

  • Sereact secures €25M in Series A funding, led by Creandum with participation from Point Nine, Air Street Capital, and notable investors, to advance its AI-driven robotics platform focused on warehousing, logistics, and beyond.
  • Sereact’s hardware-agnostic Vision Language Action Models (VLAM) enable robots to adapt autonomously in real-time, driving innovation for customers like BMW, Daimler Truck, and Bol, while setting a new standard for intelligent, flexible robotics.
  • The funding will accelerate R&D for mobile and humanoid robots, expand into the U.S., and develop AI solutions for complex tasks, reinforcing Sereact’s vision to democratize robotics and redefine global autonomy standards.

PRESS RELEASE — At Sereact, the mission to redefine possibilities with AI-driven robotics has reached a major milestone: the company has secured €25 million in Series A funding. This round was led by Creandum, with significant participation from existing investors Point Nine and Air Street Capital, alongside prominent business angels such as former Formula 1 World Champion Nico Rosberg, Mehdi Ghissassi (ex-Google DeepMind), Ott Kaukver (Skype), Lars Nordwall (ex-neo4j), Rubin Ritter (ex-Zalando), and Torsten Reil and Niklas Köhler (both Helsing).

This funding represents more than just an investment in Sereact’s technology; it underscores the immense potential of AI in robotics and the trust industry leaders place in the company’s vision.

Transforming Robotics with AI
Since its founding in 2021, Sereact has been at the forefront of developing hardware-agnostic AI models that enable automation across warehousing, logistics, and beyond. The company’s groundbreaking Vision Language Action Models (VLAM) allow robots to understand and adapt to their environments in real-time, eliminating the need for complex programming.

“With this technology, robots act situationally rather than following rigidly programmed sequences. They adapt to dynamic tasks in real-time, enabling an unprecedented level of autonomy,” said Ralf Gulde, CEO and co-founder of Sereact.

Sereact’s AI-powered robots are already making a significant impact across industries, with customers such as BMW Group, Daimler Truck, Bol, MS Direct, and Active Ants. By operating in real-world environments, these systems continuously improve, going beyond the capabilities of synthetic training data.

Why This Matters
The robotics industry is undergoing a fundamental transformation. While many AI robotics companies take a hardware-first approach, Sereact leads with a software-first strategy, enabling robots to function as intelligent, adaptable agents rather than pre-programmed machines. This flexibility sets Sereact apart and supports its vision of making embodied AI the standard for robotics across industries.

As Johan Brenner, General Partner at Creandum, remarked, “The opportunities here are endless, and it’s great to see this kind of innovation coming from Europe.”

What’s Next?
The new funding will enable Sereact to accelerate its mission in several key areas:

  • Expanding R&D efforts to support additional robotic platforms, including mobile robots and humanoids.
  • Developing AI solutions for complex tasks beyond logistics and manufacturing.
  • Growing its U.S. presence, building strategic partnerships, and expanding the local team.

“We’re on an exciting journey to become the leading platform for robotics applications that forever changes the daily lives of people and businesses,” added Gulde. “This oversubscribed round and our rapid technology progress allow us to democratize robotics and set new standards for autonomous systems in global markets.”

Looking Ahead
Sereact’s journey is just beginning. With this latest investment, the company is more committed than ever to shaping the future of robotics, setting new standards for autonomy, efficiency, and intelligence on a global scale.

To the investors, customers, and partners who have placed their trust in Sereact — thank you. The road ahead is filled with possibilities, and the company looks forward to continuing this journey together.
