Anthropic has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the UK’s Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) to explore the integration of AI in government services. The partnership will focus on leveraging Anthropic’s advanced AI model, Claude, to enhance public access to government information and digital services.
Officials said that AI holds the potential to improve efficiency and accessibility in public administration. DSIT and Anthropic will work together to establish best practices for responsible AI deployment, ensuring secure and transparent innovation in the public sector. The collaboration also aims to advance scientific research, strengthen AI infrastructure, and support the UK’s innovation economy.
Anthropic will continue working with the UK AI Security Institute to evaluate AI capabilities and risks. The initiative aligns with broader global efforts to responsibly implement AI in governance, enhancing digital services for citizens.
