With $83M Funding, Krea Pioneers AI Tools That Simplify Work for Designers and Artists

San Francisco-based Krea has raised $83 million to expand its AI platform that unifies multiple generative models into a single creative workflow for designers. Led by Bain Capital Ventures, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz and Abstract Ventures, the latest $47 million Series B brings the startup’s total funding to date to $83 million and values the company at $500 million, according to sources.

Founded by Victor Perez and Diego Rodriguez, Krea’s platform selects the best AI models for a visual task, then allows users to refine and modify outputs with intuitive controls. Perez said the goal is not to replace creativity but to enhance it, giving artists “tools that understand their process” while staying ahead of fast-moving AI developments.
