Insider Brief

  • LexRock AI and PINQ² have partnered to advance responsible AI development in Canada, centering on secure, energy-efficient document processing through LexRock’s LR Studio platform.
  • The platform redefines intelligent automation with a low-resource, high-performance architecture and embedded human oversight to ensure ethical AI use and transparent data processing.
  • By aligning with regulatory frameworks and supporting sovereign cloud adoption, the initiative aims to make Canada a leader in sustainable, AI-driven innovation for both commercial and public sectors.

PRESS RELEASE — LexRock AI Technologies Inc. and the Plateforme d’innovation numérique et quantique du Québec (PINQ² – Platform for Digital and Quantum Innovation of Quebec) announce their strategic collaboration serving to strengthen a sovereign, secure and sustainable digital ecosystem for Canadian businesses. As part of this alliance, PINQ² brings its support to LexRock AI‘s innovative project, which sets new standards for responsible digital infrastructures and data protection.

“Through this structuring project carried out in collaboration with PINQ², we are demonstrating that the advanced technologies developed here, in Quebec, have the capacity to combine security, energy efficiency and digital sovereignty”, stated Alain Lavoie, President of LexRock AI Technologies. “This is a key step for the adoption of responsible practices, in addition to being an important one for our positioning in North America and Europe.”

“The partnership with LexRock AI strengthens our ability to offer Canadian businesses adapted, secure, sovereign and sustainable cloud solutions to implement their digital innovations,” said Marie-Claude Messier, General Manager of PINQ². “Together, we are building a digital ecosystem capable of supporting local innovation, and which positions Canada at the forefront of tomorrow’s technologies. This project will shape the best practices of the future.”

Technological support for digital sobriety

At the heart of this collaboration is LexRock AI’s LR Studio platform, a state-of-the-art solution for intelligent document processing. What sets this technology apart is its commitment to digital sobriety, a concept aimed at reducing the environmental, social and economic impacts of digital technologies used for computing and data processing. The engineering team entirely rethought and revamped the information extraction architecture in order to minimize the use of resource-hungry algorithms, significantly reducing energy and environmental footprints while maintaining outstanding performance.

This eco-responsible approach comes with a flexible architecture, whose design is compatible with sovereign cloud environments. This allows companies to benefit from advanced, high-performance technology, without compromising their environmental commitments.

LexRock AI has also integrated sophisticated human supervision mechanisms, placing ethics at the heart of its technological development, thus ensuring the responsible use of artificial intelligence and a total transparency in data processing.

Data protection and four fundamental pillars

LexRock AI’s initiative stands out due to its proactive approach to regulatory compliance. Starting at the design stage, the project incorporates the requirements of the Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information (Quebec’s Law 25) and those of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) at the Federal level, while also drawing on the best practices of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The offered cloud environment is based on four fundamental pillars: unwavering data security, complete reversibility enabling customers to recover their data without constraints, interoperability between existing systems, and total transparency in information management. This approach provides Canadian companies with an effective shield against the risks associated with foreign legislations and geopolitical turbulences.

A springboard for Quebec and Canadian innovation

The collaboration between PINQ² and LexRock AI is a true catalyst for innovation. By positioning LexRock AI as a key player in secure document processing in North America and Europe, this alliance strengthens the international influence of Canadian know-how in the artificial intelligence and cybersecurity sectors. This initiative aims to actively contribute to the creation of highly-skilled jobs in forward-looking fields such as ethical AI, advanced cybersecurity and eco-responsible computing, thus fostering the emergence of new talent that will shape the Canadian technology landscape of tomorrow.

For Canadian companies, PINQ² is the trusted infrastructure par excellence for derisking their digital innovation projects. By offering a sovereign, high-performance and sustainable technological environment, PINQ² enables organizations of all sizes to launch their digital transformation with confidence.
