A-typical Ventures Backs Metric, Abu Dhabi-Based AI Fintech for SMEs

A-typical Ventures has announced its investment in Metric, an Abu Dhabi-headquartered AI fintech startup that provides real-time financial intelligence to small and medium-sized businesses. The round also included participation from 500 Global, Hub71, i2i Ventures, Plus VC, Epic Angels, Oqal Angels, and Accelerate Prosperity, alongside regional angel investors.

Metric’s flagship platform, Max, is billed as the world’s first Chief Financial AI, acting as a conversational co-pilot for business owners by analyzing data, forecasting performance, and offering growth recommendations. Founded in 2022 by Meenah Tariq, Omar Parvez Khan, and Dr. Habiba, the startup already serves more than 130,000 businesses across 190 countries. The new funding will accelerate product development and expand adoption across the GCC and beyond.
