Insider Brief

  • Ant Digital Technologies has launched a new Malaysia operations hub for its AI-powered identity and risk platform ZOLOZ to strengthen local infrastructure and enterprise customer support.
  • The hub is intended to improve response times and on-the-ground processing, with ZOLOZ providing AI-driven facial recognition and fraud management services across 30 countries and regions.
  • The expansion builds on Ant’s broader regional footprint, including its Hong Kong international headquarters, as Malaysia positions itself as a growing AI investment center in Southeast Asia.

Ant Digital Technologies is expanding its AI infrastructure in Malaysia with the launch of a new operations hub for its digital identity and risk management platform ZOLOZ.

The Malaysia hub is designed to improve response times and provide on-the-ground service for enterprise clients, according to the company. ZOLOZ uses artificial intelligence, facial recognition and risk-scoring tools to verify digital identities and manage fraud, and Ant Digital Technologies said the platform now supports users across 30 countries and regions.

“Building on our successful operations in Hong Kong SAR, Singapore, and Indonesia, the establishment of the ZOLOZ Malaysia hub represents another key milestone for Ant Digital Technologies in the International market,” Chief Innovation and Solutions Officer, International Garry Sien said in a statement. “This demonstrates our commitment to invest in local digital infrastructure and deliver advanced AI solutions tailored to the specific needs of Malaysian customers.”

The company indicated the move builds on Ant Digital Technologies’ existing international footprint, including operations in Hong Kong, Singapore and Indonesia. The company established its international headquarters in Hong Kong in April 2025 and said the Malaysia expansion marks another step in strengthening regional infrastructure.

Ant noted Malaysia is growing as an AI investment hub. The country introduced its National Cloud Computing Policy last year to guide digital transformation and cloud adoption, and a recent e-Conomy SEA report by Google, Temasek and Bain & Company said Malaysia accounted for 32% of Southeast Asia’s total AI funding.

Ant Digital Technologies said it has served more than 10,000 enterprise clients and over 300 ecosystem partners to date, with ZOLOZ focused on AI-driven identity verification and fraud management for financial and digital service providers.
