Audrey AI Announces €1.5M to Bring Agentic AI to Financial Auditing

Dublin-based startup Audrey AI has closed a €1.5 million pre-seed round led by Sure Valley Ventures and Delta Partners, with participation from Enterprise Ireland and several angel investors including former Big 4 auditors and ex-Calypso chief executive Donnchadh Casey.

Founded in 2025 by Ryan Loughran and David Burke, Audrey AI targets financial auditing — a global market exceeding $100 billion that remains heavily reliant on manual spreadsheet work. Loughran previously worked at McKinsey and Qualtrics, while Burke served as VP of Engineering at Inscribe, building document automation tools for regulated financial institutions.

The platform operates as an agentic system, automating evidence gathering and testing across audit engagements. Early pilots with top-10 and top-20 audit firms reported over 85% time savings on client data collection and validation.

Audrey AI will use the funding to expand its engineering and audit specialist teams as it grows across Ireland, the UK, and internationally.
