SignalWire Launches Full-Stack AI Voice Platform Built Directly into Telecom Infrastructure

SignalWire, the company behind the FreeSWITCH open-source project and pioneers of Programmable Unified Communications, has introduced SignalWire.ai — a next-generation platform for real-time AI voice interaction. Unlike traditional AI add-ons, the new offering embeds conversational intelligence directly into the telecom media stack, enabling synchronized performance across audio, routing, and AI.

CEO Anthony Minessale said the platform was built to support developers and contact centers in creating “powerful, intelligent agents that function as fully programmable digital employees ready for real-time performance at scale.”

SignalWire.ai delivers ultra-fast responses averaging 500 milliseconds and supports integration with PSTN, SIP, WebRTC, and mobile environments. With no additional infrastructure needed, developers can deploy AI agents across channels instantly via SignalWire’s dashboard, APIs, and SDKs.
