Google Introduces Sharing for Gemini Gems, Expanding Access to Custom AI Assistants

Google has announced that users can now share their Gemini Gems, the customizable AI assistants first launched within its Gemini Advanced subscription. Gems allow users to design AI agents for specific tasks such as learning support, career guidance, writing, coding, and brainstorming.

The new feature enables Gems to be shared with colleagues, friends, or family as easily as sharing a file in Google Drive, with options to control permissions for viewing, using, or editing. This makes customized assistants more widely accessible and reduces duplication, ensuring teams or groups can collaborate using a single tailored resource.

Following initial availability for Gemini Advanced, Business, and Enterprise customers, Gems are now open to all users globally.
