Freeform Closes $67M Series B to Scale AI-Driven Metal 3D Manufacturing Platform

Freeform, a startup developing advanced metal 3D-printing technology, has secured $67 million in Series B funding to expand its AI-enabled manufacturing platform. The round included investors Apandion, AE Ventures, Founders Fund, Linse Capital, NVentures (Nvidia’s venture arm), Threshold Ventures, and Two Sigma Ventures.

Led by CEO and co-founder Erik Palitsch, the company is advancing a next-generation printing system designed for high-volume production of precision metal components. Building on its current GoldenEye platform, Freeform plans to introduce a new system using hundreds of lasers to dramatically increase output. The platform relies on real-time simulations, sensor data, and GPU-accelerated computing to optimize manufacturing processes. The funding will support technology upgrades, facility expansion, and hiring as the company scales production of mission-critical parts.
