logcat.ai Announces $2.55M Pre-Seed to Build AI Agents for Operating System Engineering

logcat.ai, an AI-native platform focused on autonomous engineering for Android and Linux device systems, has raised a $2.55 million pre-seed funding round led by Founders’ Co-op, with participation from Act One Ventures, TheFounderVC, Shorewind Capital, Clayoquot Capital, and Alumni Ventures. The funding will support the company’s efforts to build autonomous AI agents for operating system-level engineering.

Founder and CEO Varun Chitre has described operating system engineering as one of the most demanding and overlooked areas of software development, noting that a single bug can span multiple layers, including the modem, kernel, bootloader, and build system, requiring specialized engineers who are increasingly scarce. The company argues that while AI has transformed much of software engineering, the OS layer has largely been left behind due to its specialized, cross-cutting nature.

logcat.ai’s core product, Delta, is an investigation engine that analyzes device engineering traces across system layers to identify root causes of issues and recommend fixes tied directly to specific log lines. Since its beta launch, the platform has served hundreds of engineering teams and analyzed more than 10 billion lines of trace data.

Aviel Ginzburg of Founders’ Co-op said the firm was drawn to the team’s position building tooling for a computing landscape extending beyond traditional devices. logcat.ai was co-founded by Chitre and Tarun Vashisth, former colleagues at device management company Esper, and is based in Seattle and Bengaluru.
