Visorway AG, a Zurich-based AI-native service firm for sourcing and procurement, has closed a pre-seed financing round backed entirely by angel investors, valuing the company at CHF 3 million. Several of the individual investors have operating backgrounds in the industries Visorway serves. The capital will be used to expand the services customers run on the platform and grow its network of domain experts.
Visorway delivers work that previously required a consulting engagement, such as scoping, drafting and evaluating tenders, end to end through AI, with experienced practitioners validating the output rather than producing it line by line. The company cites Sequoia Capital research estimating that organisations spend roughly six dollars on services for every dollar spent on software.
CEO and co-founder Jan Appenzeller said AI should structure work rather than replace thinking, explaining that Visorway encodes how experienced practitioners work, delivers that work through AI and has the same experts validate the results. He added that the expertise lies in the method rather than the model.
Its first services cover IT tender documentation for private and public procurement, built on methodology from advisors with decades of Swiss experience. Proof-of-value engagements are underway with Swiss enterprises, a federal research institution and sourcing advisory firms, and the company plans to extend its model into other professional domains.
