HowNow Closes £7.5M Series A to Advance AI-Powered Learning and Skills Platform

HowNow, the AI-driven learning and skills platform, has raised £7.5 million in Series A funding, reinforcing its position as a leader in skills development technology. The investment includes £4 million from Mercia Ventures and Pearson, secured in February 2023, with an additional £3.5 million from both investors and Fuel Ventures.

Founded by CEO Nelson Sivalingam, HowNow serves organizations across 30+ countries, using AI to map skills gaps and deliver contextual learning in real time. The platform’s latest innovation, HowNow AI, leverages AI agents to analyze workforce skills, identify gaps, and connect employees with personalized learning opportunities.

With a growing team of 75 employees across London and Mumbai, HowNow has strengthened its leadership by appointing Sam Lawton as Head of Customer Experience, Chris Chesterman as Head of Sales, and Kunal Gala as Head of Engineering. Michael Whitfield, former CEO of Thomsons Online Benefits, serves as Chairman of the Board.
