Culver CityBus Deploys AI Enforcement with Hayden AI to Boost Transit Reliability and Street Safety

Culver CityBus has launched an automated enforcement initiative in partnership with Hayden AI, integrating advanced perception technology to keep bus lanes, bike lanes, and bus stops clear of unauthorized vehicles. The program begins with a 60-day warning period and will start issuing citations on May 19.

The AI-driven system is designed to enhance public transit efficiency and road safety by preventing blockages that delay buses and endanger cyclists and pedestrians.

Hayden AI’s Executive Chairwoman Lisa Schule said the technology supports “faster travel times and greater on-time performance,” while Mayor Dan O’Brien emphasized its role in improving accessibility and safety. Culver City joins other major metros leveraging AI to modernize mobility infrastructure.
