Berlin-based Telli has secured $3.6 million in pre-seed funding to expand its AI voice technology designed to streamline high-volume customer interactions. The round was led by Cherry Ventures and Y Combinator, which previously backed the startup.
Founded by Seb Hapte-Selassie, Philipp Baumanns, and Finn zur Mühlen, Telli builds AI voice agents that handle routine customer service tasks — such as booking appointments, qualifying leads, and making product suggestions — while escalating complex cases to human staff. CEO zur Mühlen said the team saw the need for automation firsthand while scaling operations at German energy unicorn Enpal.
The company has processed nearly one million calls with a six-person team and reports over 50% monthly revenue growth, serving clients across Europe, Latin America, and the U.S.
