Google has officially launched Jules, its AI-powered asynchronous coding agent, just over two months after its public preview debut. Built on Gemini 2.5 Pro, Jules integrates with GitHub, clones codebases into Google Cloud virtual machines, and autonomously fixes or updates code while developers focus on other tasks.
Initially introduced as a Google Labs project in December, Jules leaves beta after receiving hundreds of stability, UI, and quality updates. The rollout includes structured pricing tiers, from a free plan with 15 daily tasks to paid Google AI Pro and Ultra tiers at $19.99 and $124.99 per month.
New features include deeper GitHub integration for automatic pull requests, Environment Snapshots for faster task execution, and expanded capabilities for empty repositories, reflecting usage insights from beta trials.
