Assort Health Closes $50M Series B to Scale AI-Driven Patient Communication

Assort Health, a healthcare AI startup founded by Jon Wang and Jeff Liu, has raised approximately $50 million in a Series B funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, valuing the company at $750 million. The raise comes just four months after its $22 million Series A, underscoring rapid investor confidence in its approach to automating patient communication.

The company’s AI-powered voice agents are designed to handle high-volume administrative tasks such as scheduling, cancellations, and routine inquiries, freeing human staff to focus on more complex and sensitive interactions. Initially targeting orthopedic and physical care practices, Assort Health has expanded into specialties including OB-GYN, dermatology, and dentistry.

Despite reporting just over $3 million in annual recurring revenue, Assort Health is growing quickly and addressing a pain point for small and mid-sized specialty practices where long wait times often lead to patient attrition. The funding reflects a broader investor push into AI solutions transforming healthcare operations, with rivals such as EliseAI and Hello Patient also securing major rounds in recent weeks.

With this new capital, Assort Health is poised to expand its footprint in specialty care and strengthen its role in reshaping patient engagement through AI.
