Wonder Studios Announces $12M to Expand AI-Driven Content Production and Original IP

London-based Wonder Studios has raised $12 million in seed funding to scale its AI-powered creative platform and expand original content production. The round was led by Atomico, with participation from LocalGlobe and Blackbird, and builds on the company’s earlier backing from executives at ElevenLabs, Google DeepMind, and OpenAI.

Founded to bring AI-generated storytelling into mainstream entertainment, Wonder plans to double its engineering team and accelerate its move into IP ownership and original productions. The studio recently created an AI music video for Lewis Capaldi’s “Something in the Heavens” in collaboration with DeepMind, YouTube, and Universal Music Group, and released its first anthology series, “Beyond the Loop.”

Led by Justin Hackney and a growing team of engineers and filmmakers, Wonder is developing several new projects, including a documentary with Campfire Studios, producer of major Netflix titles. The company positions itself as a global AI storytelling hub, empowering creators to merge artistry and technology in the next era of digital entertainment.
