Converge Bio Secures $25M Series A to Accelerate AI-Driven Drug Discovery

Converge Bio, a Boston- and Tel Aviv–based startup applying generative artificial intelligence to drug discovery, has raised a $25 million oversubscribed Series A funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from TLV Partners, Saras Capital, and Vintage Investment Partners, as well as individual executives from Meta, OpenAI, and Wiz.

Founded in 2023, Converge Bio develops AI systems trained directly on DNA, RNA, and protein sequences to accelerate drug development across discovery, design, and optimization stages. The company has deployed multiple production-ready AI systems supporting antibody design, protein yield optimization, and biomarker and target discovery. Dov Gertz, co-founder and CEO, said the platform integrates generative, predictive, and physics-based models into end-to-end workflows used by pharmaceutical and biotech partners.

Since its seed round in 2024, Converge Bio has completed more than 40 programs with global pharma and biotech customers and expanded its team and international footprint as it scales AI-native molecular design.
