Berget AI Announces $2.4M Funding Round to Build Sovereign AI Infrastructure Platform in Europe

Berget AI announced it has raised $2.4 million in funding to accelerate development of its sovereign artificial intelligence platform designed to keep sensitive data within European jurisdictions. The round was led by Luminar Ventures, with participation from Wellstreet and Norrsken Evolve.

Founded by Christian Landgren and Andreas Lundmark, the Swedish startup provides a full-stack AI platform that enables organizations to build applications using open language models on infrastructure hosted entirely in Sweden. The approach is designed to help enterprises comply with evolving European data governance regulations, including the EU AI Act, while maintaining operational control over AI workloads.

The company plans to use the funding to expand product development and scale go-to-market operations as demand for sovereign AI infrastructure continues to grow across Europe.
