PRESS RELEASE — Dify, an open-source platform that helps teams build, deploy, and operate production-grade AI applications and agentic workflows, announced it has raised $30 million in Series Pre-A funding at a $180 million valuation. The round was led by HSG, with participation from GL Ventures, Alt-Alpha Capital, a new spin-out from Bessemer Venture Partners, 5Y Capital, Mizuho Leaguer Investment and NYX Ventures.

As organizations move from AI experimentation to production deployment, teams are increasingly building domain-specific workflows rather than relying on one-size-fits-all solutions. Dify provides the platform layer that helps teams operationalize agentic workflows across real business systems, so organizations can shift from solution buyers to solution builders with a path that is reliable and maintainable in production.

Since launching in 2023, Dify has grown into a widely adopted platform for agentic workflow development. Dify ranks among GitHub’s most-starred open-source repositories of all time and runs on more than 1.4 million machines worldwide. More than 2,000 teams and 280 enterprises are building on commercial versions of Dify, including organizations such as Maersk, ETS, Anker Innovations and Novartis.

“AI is moving from demos to production systems, and teams need infrastructure they can operate with confidence,” said Luyu Zhang, founder and CEO of Dify. “We built Dify so teams can turn their domain knowledge and workflows into production-grade AI applications without rebuilding the stack each time. This funding accelerates our work to make agentic workflows more reliable, more observable, and easier for organizations to adopt at scale.”

Dify provides a visual builder for designing AI workflows, combined with the engineering foundations enterprises need for production deployment, including prompt management, tool integrations, knowledge retrieval, debugging capabilities, and API deployment. The platform sits between foundation models and business systems, enabling teams to operationalize AI across real workflows while maintaining the operational visibility and administrative control required for broader adoption.

Organizations use Dify to build and operate practical workflows across functions, including document review pipelines, internal copilots grounded in enterprise knowledge, customer support automation with escalation paths, and operational workflows such as invoice auditing and correspondence drafting. “Dify gave us a practical way to move beyond prototypes and actually operationalize AI workflows. We were able to turn real business processes into maintainable systems, without rebuilding infrastructure every time,” said Mark Sear, Director of AI Solutions Engineering at Maersk.

“We believe the AI application layer is at an early but accelerating phase, and platforms that standardize AI development workflows are likely to capture durable value,” said Kui Zhou, Partner at HSG. “We look forward to supporting Dify as they expand the platform and grow the ecosystem.”

Dify will use the funding to accelerate its 2026 roadmap, including integrating state-of-the-art agent capabilities into the core product experience, building a dedicated enterprise product team focused on performance and compliance, launching new initiatives to support the builder community, and delivering product updates that further lower the barrier to adoption across teams.
