Parasail has raised $32 million in Series A funding to expand its cloud-based infrastructure for AI inference, as demand for low-cost token processing accelerates. CEO Mike Henry indicated the platform is already generating around 500 billion tokens per day, reflecting growing developer reliance on scalable AI compute.
The company operates across 40 data centres in 15 countries, orchestrating GPU capacity and external compute markets to optimise cost and performance. Rather than focusing on model training, Parasail specialises in inference workloads, aiming to reduce pricing pressure for developers building on generative AI systems.
Investors including Samir Kumar and Steve Jang highlighted rising demand for inference infrastructure, driven by increased use of AI agents and open-source models, positioning Parasail within a rapidly expanding segment of the AI stack.
