Sinai.ai has closed a $1.45 million pre-seed round led by KAUST Innovation Ventures and DisrupTech Ventures, with additional participation from Maza Ventures, YOUXEL Ventures, and angel investors, to build an AI-native reading platform.
Founded in 2024 by Ahmed Kamel and co-founders, the company’s core product converts traditional books into interactive digital formats, enabling users to converse with text, generate summaries, and switch between reading and audio modes. Content is sourced directly from publishers under licensing agreements, keeping the platform copyright-compliant.
The raise arrives as AI reshapes content consumption across industries. Sinai.ai is targeting the largely static global book market by introducing a dynamic engagement layer on top of licensed content. Proceeds will fund AI infrastructure, technology development, and expanded publishing partnerships.
