Steno, a Los Angeles-based legal technology company specialising in court reporting and litigation support, has closed a $49 million Series C round led by Savano Capital Partners, with continued backing from First Round Capital and The Legal Tech Fund.
COO Prabhdeep Singh said the company’s ambition extends beyond simple automation, describing the goal as a unified platform where AI and expert human support work together on the complex challenges law firms face daily. CEO Greg Hong argued that operating inside live litigation workflows every day gives Steno an advantage that software-only competitors cannot replicate.
The funding will be used to scale operations nationwide, deepen penetration within the AmLaw 200, and accelerate the next generation of Transcript Genius, Steno’s AI-powered transcript analysis tool — expanding its technology across traditionally manual legal processes.
