Develo, a Los Angeles-based startup building an AI-native operating system for pediatric care, has raised $14 million in a funding round led by Blueprint Equity, with participation from Villain Capital, Z21 Ventures, and Bienville Capital. The capital will be directed toward research and development and customer success as the company scales its platform across the United States.
Founded in 2022, Develo has grown rapidly and is now deployed across hundreds of pediatric providers in more than 24 states. Its platform is designed to replace the fragmented combination of legacy electronic medical record systems, standalone intake tools, and outdated billing software that most pediatric practices currently rely on, consolidating clinical, billing, and family engagement workflows into a single AI-driven environment. Core capabilities include AI scribe functionality, automated charge capture, and practice reporting intelligence.

Dr. Aaron Sin, CEO and co-founder of Develo, described existing pediatric software as click-heavy and fragmented, arguing that practices relying on AI add-ons from legacy vendors risk falling further behind as AI development accelerates. Pediatric care accounts for more than 450 million annual visits in the United States, touching patients, parents, and caregivers across a population representing more than one in three Americans.
Sheldon Lewis, founding managing partner at Blueprint Equity, said Develo is the first AI-native operating system purpose-built for pediatrics, addressing areas that traditional EMR vendors have been structurally unable to prioritise. Former Allscripts CEO and angel investor Paul Black also backed the round.
