Cyera to Acquire Oasis Security for $1B to Bolster AI Agent Security

Data security company Cyera, which recently raised $600 million at a $12 billion valuation, said last week it signed a letter of intent to acquire Oasis Security for approximately $1 billion, in a deal expected to be paid mostly in cash with the remainder in Cyera shares.

Oasis specializes in securing non-human identities, primarily AI agents, offering software that monitors agent behavior and manages the permissions these agents use to access other systems. Founded in 2022, Oasis has raised roughly $195 million from investors including Accel, Craft Ventures, and Cyberstarts.

The acquisition reflects growing demand for cybersecurity tools designed to defend enterprises against AI-driven threats as the number of autonomous agents deployed across organizations continues to expand. Cyera, which shares investors Accel and Cyberstarts with Oasis, has been actively acquiring companies in this space, having recently purchased Ryft and Genie Security. Following the deal, Cyera plans to fold Oasis’s technology into a unified identity and data security platform.

Cyera recently surpassed $150 million in annual recurring revenue, though the five-year-old company remains unprofitable. It has raised about $2.3 billion in total funding to date.
