HappyRobot has announced raising $150 million in Series C funding to expand its AI-agent platform and grow its engineering, deployment and sales teams globally.

Prysm Capital led the round along with Eurazeo, according to the company. Existing investors Andreessen Horowitz, Base10 Partners and Y Combinator also participated, along with Koch Disruptive Technologies, Orange, Deutsche Telekom’s T.Capital, Bankinter, Endeavor Catalyst, Kfund and Wave-X. The company reported the financing values it at $1.2 billion after the investment and brings its total funding to about $200 million.

The San Francisco company builds AI agents that handle routine work across calls, emails, documents and separate business systems, helping employees keep operations moving. The company indicated it is expanding into additional industries such as into energy, insurance, airlines and telecommunications, and grew from two offices to eight over the past year.

HappyRobot said it will use the capital to add AI capabilities, build more enterprise integrations and expand the infrastructure needed to deploy agents across large organizations. It also plans to increase hiring as demand grows in North America, Europe, Latin America and Australia.

“Getting agents to do work is the starting point, not the destination,” co-founder and CEO Pablo Palafox said in the announcement. “HappyRobot’s thesis is that enterprise superintelligence, where an organization’s collective intelligence compounds as agents and people learn from one another, requires far more than task-performing agents. It requires a platform and a deployed motion capable of operationalizing that platform inside a specific business.”

HappyRobot said its agents typically launch within four to 12 weeks and are refined over time. The company reported gains in automation, customer service, operating capacity and sales, including one deployment that automates 28,000 hours of work a month.

HappyRobot initially focused on logistics and now serves more than 150 enterprise customers, including DHL, Kuehne+Nagel, Naturgy, Repsol and Uber. The company said it has grown fivefold since raising its Series B late last year.
