AI Voice Agent Startup Encore AI Closes $30M Series A Led by Team8

Encore AI, a startup that trains AI voice agents by analyzing companies’ customer interactions, has raised $30 million in a Series A round led by Team8, with additional participation from Planven, Lukatz, Garage, and several banks and insurers, some of which became investors after first using the product.

Founded in 2022 as Insait IO by CEO Dvir Ginzburg, the company originally built recommendation software for financial advisers before rebranding and expanding into a platform that studies conversations between employees and customers to identify successful strategies, then uses those insights to train AI agents. Ginzburg described the process as interaction mining, explaining that the platform analyzes call recordings, emails, and text messages alongside CRM data to determine which parts of a conversation moved deals forward. He said the resulting agents effectively replicate the most successful playbooks used across an organization, sometimes mirroring specific anecdotes or approaches that worked well for top performers.

Encore’s agents can interact directly with customers via voice or text, or assist employees by recommending responses in real time. The company reports more than 40 enterprise customers, primarily financial institutions, with annual recurring revenue growing more than fivefold since its seed round roughly 18 months ago. Ginzburg argued that larger CRM providers would face significant technical hurdles replicating Encore’s approach. The company plans to use the funding to expand U.S. sales operations.
