Google Cloud and Mistral AI, a Paris-based generative AI startup, have entered into a partnership, according to a recent press release. This collaboration will enable Mistral AI to leverage Google Cloud’s infrastructure to distribute its language models, as announced by both companies. These large language models, known for their ability to generate text and other content, require substantial data for training.
Mistral AI, established by ex-researchers from Meta and Google, recently announced a significant funding achievement. Earlier this week, the company reported securing 385 million euros ($415 million) in its second funding round within just seven months, as reported in the AI Insider. This round was led by prominent investors including Andreessen-Horowitz and LightSpeed Ventures.
