Amsterdam-based Datamonk has raised €1.6 million in pre-seed funding to advance its AI-driven platform that automates the migration and cleaning of medical imaging data for hospitals. The round was led by Healthy.Capital and Nina Capital, with participation from angel investors.
Founded in 2024 by Jaap Gielink, Jai Bhatia, and Matthew Condron, Datamonk uses agentic AI to migrate decades of imaging archives — such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs — from legacy hospital systems into modern, AI-ready environments. The company’s technology accelerates migration speeds and improves data accuracy by detecting, correcting, and validating metadata.
Datamonk’s goal is to create a cleaner, interoperable data foundation for AI-driven healthcare, strengthening Amsterdam’s role as a European hub for healthtech innovation.
