Syntracts, an API-first contract intelligence platform built for on-premises deployment, has raised $5.3 million in seed funding led by Hyperplane, with participation from Khosla Ventures, Top Harvest Capital, Fortitude Ventures, and existing investors Myriad Venture Partners and Point72 Ventures.
Founded by Doug Bemis, former CTO at Uber AI Labs, and Christopher Martin, a BigLaw veteran, Syntracts enables law firms and corporate legal teams to integrate AI securely within their existing environments. The platform structures and analyzes contracts directly inside a firm’s own infrastructure, ensuring complete data privacy and verifiable accuracy.
The new capital will accelerate adoption across BigLaw and corporate legal sectors, expand integrations with enterprise systems like iManage, NetDocs, and SharePoint, and scale Syntracts’ team and product development to meet growing demand for privacy-first legal AI infrastructure.
