LinkedIn, the professional networking platform owned by Microsoft, has introduced an AI-powered people search feature that allows users to find professionals using natural language queries. The new capability extends LinkedIn’s earlier AI-driven job search tool, enabling members in the United States to search for individuals with phrases such as “investors in the healthcare sector with FDA experience” or “founders of productivity startups in New York.”
The update marks a major step in LinkedIn’s two-year AI integration strategy, which has included advancements in content creation, ad optimization, hiring tools, and learning recommendations. Early tests show users leveraging the new feature to discover business leads, mentors, and collaborators more efficiently.
Initially available to premium users, the AI search will expand globally in the coming months. The feature aims to make LinkedIn’s massive professional graph more intuitive and accessible by using AI to interpret context, relationships, and intent, helping users connect faster with the right people and opportunities.
