Stars Showcase Ray-Ban and Meta’s AI-Powered Glasses in Super Bowl Ad

Ray-Ban and Meta have joined forces to introduce their latest innovation, AI-powered smart glasses, in a high-profile Super Bowl commercial featuring big-name stars. The ad demonstrated the real-time AI capabilities of the glasses, offering users instant information on their surroundings.

In the ad — which features Hollywood stars Chris Hemsworth and Chris Pratt — Pratt, wearing the glasses asks: “Meta, what is this artwork?”, and the AI responded, revealing that the piece was valued at $6.2 million. The response sparked disbelief, as Hemsworth comes on scene eating the said banana, with Pratt reacting in shock, stating they needed to “find another banana”, referencing the infamous artwork. The commercial also humorously highlighted the AI’s ability to provide information upon voice command, as one participant noted that the proper way to interact with the glasses was to say, “Hey, Meta.”

By featuring comedic moments and celebrity engagement, the ad positioned Ray-Ban and Meta’s AI-powered glasses as a cutting-edge blend of fashion and technology, set to redefine wearable AI.
