Wandercraft has acquired Ekso Bionics from a subsidiary of ChronoScale Holdings, combining two medical exoskeleton developers with complementary products and geographic footprints.
According to the France-based Wandercraft, the acquisition combines its robotics and physical AI work along with its presence in Europe, the Middle East and Africa with Ekso Bionics’ U.S. operations, clinical experience and commercial network. Wandercraft said it plans to continue supporting both companies’ existing medical exoskeleton products.
“By bringing together our products, teams, and clinical relationships on both sides of the Atlantic, we have an exceptional opportunity to expand access to robotic mobility worldwide, reach more patients and rehabilitation professionals, and help more people experience the independence and connection that upright mobility can offer,” Wandercraft co-founder and CEO Matthieu Masselin said in the announcement.
Expanded Portfolio
The combined portfolio The combined portfolio spans rehabilitation and personal mobility. Wandercraft’s Atalante X and Ekso Bionics’ EksoNR are used at more than 700 rehabilitation centers worldwide and hold U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearances and CE marking covering stroke, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis and acquired brain injury.
For personal use, Wandercraft’s Eve provides hands-free, self-balancing mobility, while Ekso Bionics’ Indego Personal is a modular wearable exoskeleton. Both are designed for eligible people with spinal cord injuries, and Wandercraft said it will continue supporting all four products along with their customers, clinicians and users.
Expanded Access to U.S. Market

The combined operation will also provide rehabilitation centers access to specialists familiar with both Atalante X and EksoNR while maintaining product-specific support.
“Ekso has spent two decades pioneering robotic technologies, advancing engineering and R&D, and building a robust body of clinical research and evidence that has earned the trust of clinicians and the people who rely on our products,” added Ekso Bionics CEO Scott Davis. “Joining Wandercraft represents an exciting next chapter, uniting two organizations with a shared commitment to mobility, rehabilitation, and innovation.
