Intel Announces Major Leadership Changes and New Central Engineering Group Under CEO Lip-Bu Tan

Intel has unveiled a significant leadership reshuffle under the direction of CEO Lip-Bu Tan, who took over in March. Longtime executive Michelle Johnston Holthaus, with more than three decades at the company, will step down from her role as CEO of Intel Products and continue as a strategic adviser. Intel also announced the formation of a Central Engineering group to drive a new custom silicon business for external customers, led by Srinivasan “Srini” Iyengar, who joined from Cadence Design Systems.

Additional appointments include Kevok Kechichian, formerly of ARM, as head of the data center group, and Jim Johnson as senior vice president and general manager of client computing. Naga Chandrasekaran will expand responsibilities as CTO and COO of Intel Foundry.
