Emergent Secures $23M Series A to Bring AI-Powered App Creation to Non-Developers

Emergent, founded by twin brothers Mukund and Madhav Jha, has secured $23 million in Series A funding led by Lightspeed, with participation from Y Combinator, Together Fund, Balaji Srinivasan, Jeff Dean, and Devendra Chaplot. The company has now raised $30 million to date.

Launched in June 2025, Emergent enables non-technical users to build and deploy applications through natural-language prompts. Its AI agents guide users through ideation, design, debugging, and deployment while managing APIs and infrastructure in the background. Since launch, over 1 million people have created 1.5 million apps on the platform. With new funding, Emergent plans to expand app discovery, monetization features, and a native mobile client, positioning itself as a consumer gateway to the growing vibe coding economy.
