Figma Partners with Google to Integrate Gemini AI Models and Accelerate Design Workflows

Figma has announced a strategic partnership with Google to integrate advanced Gemini AI models directly into its design platform, expanding its suite of intelligent tools for product designers. The collaboration brings Gemini 2.5 Flash, Gemini 2.0, and Imagen 4 to Figma’s ecosystem, enhancing the platform’s image editing and generation capabilities for its 13 million monthly active users.

The integration builds on Figma’s ongoing relationship with Google Cloud and aims to significantly improve design productivity. Early tests of Gemini 2.5 Flash demonstrated a 50% reduction in latency for Figma’s “Make Image” feature, enabling faster and more responsive AI-assisted workflows.

The partnership coincides with Google’s launch of Gemini Enterprise, an AI-powered platform for enterprise customers, and adds Figma to a growing list of global brands — including GAP, Klarna, Mercedes, and Virgin Voyages — adopting Gemini to embed AI into their core operations.
