Anthropic Launches Web App for Claude Code, Expanding Access to Its AI Coding Assistant

Anthropic has released a web-based version of Claude Code, its rapidly growing AI coding assistant, enabling developers to create and manage multiple coding agents directly from their browser. The new platform is now available to subscribers of Claude Pro ($20/month) and Claude Max ($100–$200/month), accessible via claude.ai and the Claude iOS app.

The launch represents Anthropic’s latest move to extend Claude Code beyond its original command-line interface, making it easier for developers to deploy and supervise autonomous AI coding agents across devices.

Since its broader debut in May, Claude Code has grown tenfold in user adoption and now contributes more than $500 million in annualized revenue. Anthropic attributes the surge to its advanced AI models and developer-friendly design, positioning Claude Code as a leading rival to GitHub Copilot, OpenAI, and Google’s AI coding tools.

The company plans to further integrate Claude Code across web, mobile, and terminal environments, reinforcing its commitment to making AI-driven coding accessible wherever developers work.
