LG Electronics plans to debut a new home robot, LG CLOiD, at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, marking the company’s latest step in expanding its home robotics portfolio, according to LG. The robot is designed to assist with a range of indoor household tasks, reflecting LG’s broader effort to apply automation and artificial intelligence to everyday home management.

LG CLOiD is built with a humanoid-style form factor intended for use in residential environments. The robot features two articulated arms with multiple degrees of freedom and individually actuated fingers designed to handle tasks requiring fine motor control. A head-mounted computing system integrates sensors, cameras, audio components, and a display to support navigation, voice interaction, and situational awareness. LG said the system uses its in-house artificial intelligence software to adapt responses over time based on repeated interactions.

The company said it views home robotics as a long-term growth area and has expanded internal research through its HS Robotics Lab, while also pursuing partnerships with external robotics developers. LG plans to demonstrate CLOiD in simulated home scenarios at its CES booth, where it will outline how the technology could reduce the time required for routine household chores, according to the company.
