AMD Releases Ryzen AI 400 Series at CES 2026, Accelerating the Push Toward AI-Powered PCs

At CES 2026, AMD detailed its vision for making artificial intelligence a native part of everyday computing as Lisa Su, Chair and CEO, opened the company’s keynote with a focus on AI at the personal device level. Central to that strategy is the launch of the AMD Ryzen AI 400 Series, the company’s latest generation of AI-enabled PC processors. The new chips build on the Ryzen AI 300 Series introduced in 2024 and deliver faster multitasking and content creation performance through expanded CPU cores and threading.

AMD said adoption of AI PCs has doubled year over year, now spanning more than 250 platforms. The company also introduced the Ryzen 7 9850X3D processor and an updated Redstone ray tracing technology for improved gaming graphics. Systems featuring the new processors are expected to ship in the first quarter of 2026.
