Apple Accelerates Development of AI Wearables Including Smart Glasses and AI Pendant

Apple is accelerating development of a new lineup of artificial intelligence-powered wearable devices as competition intensifies in the emerging AI hardware market. According to recent reporting, the company is advancing work on three products: an AI-enabled pendant device, AI-powered smart glasses code-named N50, and AirPods with new AI capabilities.

The wearable devices are designed to connect closely with the iPhone and integrate Siri as a core interface for AI-driven experiences. Apple’s smart glasses, which are expected to include a high-resolution camera, could enter production as early as December ahead of a potential 2027 release. The initiative reflects Apple’s strategy to compete with AI hardware efforts from companies including Meta and Snap.
