Zeroth has launched Bridge, a compact humanoid robot designed for physical AI development, alongside an open-source software ecosystem aimed at letting developers create and share robot capabilities.
According to the Suzhou, China-based company, Bridge is built around what it calls an AI-native architecture, with its hardware, motion-control system and developer interfaces designed for AI-based physical interaction rather than only preset movements. Zeroth is also making the first batch of its Bridge Geek Edition available for purchase.
“We hope that one day, everyone can participate in creating robots. To make that possible, we want to make robotics more open to everyone,” founder and CEO Renjie Guo, Founder said in the announcement. “The world has no shortage of walls. We choose to build bridges.”

Zeroth said Bridge ships with capabilities including stable walking, obstacle avoidance and a library of human-like movements and choreography. Developers can use the company’s software development kits and motion-control interfaces to deploy their own algorithms, tune the robot for different scenarios and create new skills. The robot also supports motion-capture and VR integration, according to Zeroth.
OpenBridge
Alongside the hardware, the company introduced OpenBridge, an open-source ecosystem for embodied intelligence development. Bridge supports the platform natively, allowing developers to create, share and build upon robot capabilities.
OpenBridge includes common development tools, training resources and a public Skill Hub for sharing capabilities. Zeroth said the goal is to make robot software created by individual developers available for others to use and extend rather than keeping those capabilities tied to isolated systems.
The company is also launching the Bridge Builder Program to bring developers into the OpenBridge ecosystem.
In the first phase, Zeroth plans to shortlist 500 developers for a co-creation challenge. The top 200 will receive complimentary access to Bridge and participate in OpenBridge development, while the remaining 300 will receive priority access to purchase the Bridge Geek Edition, along with SDK access and eligibility for later stages of the program.
Zeroth said the program is intended to give outside developers a role in shaping capabilities available through the platform. Zeroth said it is also developing a model with features shaped by the company and its developer community.
Bridge is available for global booking beginning Sept. 2, with pricing varying by region. Applications for the Bridge Builder Program are also open through Zeroth’s OpenBridge website.
