Apple Embraces AI Revolution with Launch of iPhone 16

On Monday, Apple introduced its new iPhone 16 lineup, marking the company’s latest effort to tap into the booming artificial intelligence trend. All four iPhone 16 models will feature chips designed to power AI tools aimed at enhancing Siri, automating tasks, and creating personalized features like custom emojis.

CEO Tim Cook described the AI advancements as “innovations that will make a true difference in people’s lives.” However, most AI features will become available in December through iOS 18, with broader language support rolling out next year. Prices for the new iPhones range from $800 to $1,200, with sales starting September 20.

Apple’s move comes during a sales slump, and it hopes the AI-driven devices will reignite consumer interest. Competitors like Samsung and Google have already integrated AI into their latest models, with Apple positioning its version, dubbed “Apple Intelligence,” to stand out despite similarities to existing features on the Galaxy S24 and Google Pixel 9.
