Toronto-based Reactiv, an AI-driven mobile commerce platform, has secured $7 million CAD in seed funding, emerging from stealth with the backing of Bonfire Ventures alongside US-based investors Foxe Capital, Anthemis Group, Daher Capital, and Alumni Ventures. Founded by Michael Pezzi, Vikash Jha, and Shopify veterans Ross Correia and Zack Elias, Reactiv seeks to streamline mobile app development and engagement for e-commerce brands.
Reactiv’s no-code platform enables e-commerce merchants to transform their websites into mobile apps with AI-enhanced features that drive engagement and boost sales. The platform’s signature tool, Reactiv Clips, allows brands to embed interactive in-app experiences within ads or social posts, bypassing the need for app downloads. Early clients include brands like Campmor, Top of the Mornin’ Coffee, and Canadian e-commerce brand FragranceBuy. Available through the Shopify app store, Reactiv offers subscription plans ranging from $499 to $4,999 per month.
To scale its reach and support development, Reactiv has focused on US investors, recognizing a stronger interest there in large-scale e-commerce innovation. With these funds, the company will grow its engineering team, expand its Clips functionality, and add more AI-powered capabilities.
