Unique Secures $30M in Series A Funding to Accelerate AI Innovation in Financial Services

Unique, a leader in responsible agentic AI solutions for asset management, wealth management, and private banking, has successfully closed its Series A funding round, raising $30 million. The investment will fuel the company’s global expansion and further enhance its AI-driven solutions, which are already deployed by major financial institutions, including Pictet Group, UBP, LGT Private Banking, and SIX.

Manuel Grenacher, CEO of Unique, stated that the new funding will significantly accelerate the company’s ability to deliver agentic AI solutions tailored to the financial services sector. He emphasized that Unique, as a category-defining AI leader, is committed to driving innovation and efficiency in back and middle-office functions while ensuring compliance and data security.

The funding round was led by CommerzVentures and DN Capital, with continued support from existing investors, including VI Partners and Pictet Group. Patrick Meisberger, Managing Partner at CommerzVentures, expressed confidence in Unique’s leadership in AI-driven financial services, stating that the company’s innovation and market presence position it for continued success. Guy Ward Thomas, Partner at DN Capital, highlighted the growing need for compliant and accurate agentic AI solutions in banking and asset management, noting that Unique’s platform already serves many of Europe’s leading financial institutions.

Unique’s platform offers 25 specialized AI use cases designed to optimize workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Pictet Group, one of Unique’s largest clients, has integrated the platform for its 6,000 employees, reporting efficiency gains of approximately two hours per week per user. The platform enables financial institutions to streamline tasks while maintaining human relationship managers at the core of client interactions.

The company has now raised a total of $53 million since its founding in 2021, positioning itself as a key player in AI-driven financial automation. Sven Holstenson, Managing Partner at Pictet Group, emphasized that Unique’s innovative approach strengthens its market leadership, and he expressed enthusiasm for the company’s continued growth.

To support its next phase of expansion, Unique has appointed Dana Ritter as Chief Product Officer, effective April 2025. Ritter, formerly a Group Product Manager at Google DeepMind, led the launch of the Gemini project on Android and played a pivotal role in developing Google’s early agentic web capabilities. Her expertise will be instrumental in shaping Unique’s product strategy as the company continues to scale its AI offerings globally.
