WitnessAI Raises $58M to Expand Enterprise AI Security and Agent Governance Platform

Mountain View–based AI security and governance company WitnessAI has raised $58 million in new funding led by Sound Ventures, with participation from Fin Capital, Qualcomm Ventures, Samsung Ventures, and Forgepoint Capital Partners. The company plans to use the capital to expand its global go-to-market strategy and accelerate development of its enterprise AI governance platform.

Founded in 2023 by Rick Caccia and Gil Spencer, WitnessAI provides security and observability tools designed to help organizations monitor AI agents and manage interactions across cloud-based large language models and enterprise systems. Caccia indicated the company is focused on simplifying AI security by providing a unified approach to governing AI workflows.

Ashton Kutcher, co-founder of Sound Ventures, highlighted enterprise trust and security as key barriers to AI adoption, emphasizing the importance of governance infrastructure as AI systems scale.
