Agile Robots has launched Agile ONE SN, a compact humanoid research platform built on Nvidia Isaac GR00T and Jetson Thor that is designed to let developers build, train and test robot skills on one integrated system before moving them into real-world applications.
Introduced at Nvidia GTC Berlin, Agile ONE SN is marketed for research labs that currently have to connect separate systems for data collection, simulation, training and deployment. The German robotics company said bringing those steps together can reduce integration work and move experiments from the lab to physical robots more quickly.
“At Agile Robots we rapidly bring Physical AI products from the lab to industry,” founder and CEO Zhaopeng Chen. “Agile ONE SN gives R&D labs around the world a complete humanoid platform that is ready from day one. Together with NVIDIA we help them turn ideas into robot skills faster and give those skills a clear path into industry.”
The Specs
The new robot is the compact research platform in Agile Robots’ humanoid lineup. Its larger Agile ONE counterpart is intended for industrial applications, and the company said skills and data developed on Agile ONE SN can later be transferred to that system.
Agile ONE SN’s main hardware specifications include:
Connectivity and safety: Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth, an emergency-stop button and other safety features.
Height and weight: 1.4 meters tall and 43 kilograms.
Degrees of freedom: 31 in the body, plus 40 across the two five-finger Wuji tactile hands, for 71 total.
Payload: Up to 3 kilograms per arm.
Sensing: RGB-D cameras on the head, wrist cameras for close-range manipulation and 3D lidar.
Actuation: Joint torque of up to 140 Nm.
Compute: Nvidia Jetson Thor for real-time sensor processing and robot inference.
Preconfigured GR00T Development Stack
Agile ONE SN ships with Nvidia’s Isaac GR00T software already configured for the robot.
That includes the GR00T 1.7 open vision-language-action model, whole-body control software and a reference workflow spanning demonstration capture, data generation, simulation, training, evaluation, deployment and physical testing.
Researchers can also bring the robot directly into Nvidia Isaac Sim and Isaac Lab using supplied URDF and USD assets. According to Agile Robots, teams can use the entire workflow or select individual components and combine them with their own software stack. The company noted researchers retain control of their data and can use the open, modular design to compare and share work across labs.
Agile Robots is also exploring integration with Nvidia’s Halos safety platform, including possible use of Nvidia IGX Thor as part of the humanoid’s safety architecture.
“Advancing humanoid robotics research and development requires easy access to a complete, open hardware and software platform,” added Deepu Talla, vice president of robotics and edge AI at Nvidia. “Agile ONE SN combines Nvidia Isaac GR00T and Jetson Thor in a single system that unifies demonstration capture, simulation, training, validation and deployment, reducing integration work and accelerating the development of humanoid skills for real-world use.”
The company said interest in Agile ONE SN includes Stanford University and ETH Zurich and Agile ONE SN is scheduled to become available in early 2027. Agile Robots is showing the platform at both the Nvidia and Agile Robots booths during GTC Berlin.
