China’s Reudyn Launches Consumer Wearable Robotics Brand Focused on ‘Human-Centered Mobility’

Reudyn has introduced a consumer wearable-robotics brand and its first product, the Hip X26, a powered exoskeleton designed to assist with walking and outdoor mobility.

According to the Shenzhan-based company, it plans to begin selling the Hip X26 in September 2026. Pricing, detailed technical specifications and sales channels have not yet been announced. The company pointed out it is not targeting industrial and rehabilitation uses, but rather the Hip X26 is intended for everyday us with the goal of reducing the amount of physical effort required during prolonged walking while allowing the wearer to maintain a relatively natural gait.

The Hip X26 is worn around the hips and is designed to provide powered assistance as a person walks. Reudyn indicated the system uses gait sensing and movement-intent recognition to determine how the wearer is moving and adjusts the amount of assistance in real time.

“The value of technology is not to replace human ability, but to amplify human potential,” CEO Mels Cui said in the announcement. “The ideal human-machine experience is not about constantly reminding users how powerful the machine is. Assistance should simply appear when it is needed. We want to reduce the physical burden of movement and help more people go farther with greater ease.”

Reudyn said its technology development is focused on movement-intent recognition, gait sensing, adaptive assistance control, human-machine coordination and lightweight wearable design. It’s aiming to develop systems that are designed to recognize how a person is moving, adjust assistance in real time and reduce the need for frequent manual mode changes while preserving a more natural movement rhythm.

The company is also developing intelligent power systems, human-machine interaction technologies and materials aimed at improving comfort as well as adaptability and wearability across different users and movement scenarios. Reudyn said its research team spans algorithms, power systems, human factors, materials engineering and robotics, with additional work underway through university and research partnerships.

The company pointed out that consumer products require different trade-offs than industrial exoskeletons, including weight, comfort, ease of use, battery life and the ability to adapt to different users and walking conditions.

Reudyn said its research and development team includes specialists in intelligent power systems, adaptive algorithms, human-machine interaction, human factors and materials engineering. The company also said it works with universities and research institutions on movement algorithms, power systems and human-machine interaction, though it did not identify the organizations in the announcement.
