Augmeta has secured a $3 million seed round led by Depth Ventures, with participation from Flybridge-backed Next Wave NYC and scouts from Index Ventures and Sequoia Capital.
The startup is building AI Operators that work around the clock across teams and systems to improve individual key performance indicators. The Operators validate data, investigate changes, surface opportunities and build evidence-backed cases for action, retaining context from investigation through to outcome. Augmeta calls this approach Agentic KPI Ops, in which Operators can act autonomously within defined guardrails, request approval or escalate decisions that need human judgment.
Co-founder and CEO Salman Jamali said most KPIs sit on dashboards without anyone working daily to improve them, leaving revenue leaks unresolved and opportunities waiting until it is too late to act. He said Augmeta’s Operators stay with each KPI and keep work moving while teams set goals and guardrails.
At a Fortune 500 retailer, Augmeta already covers more than 100 KPIs, investigating issues, feeding answers into business reviews and continuing work after meetings end.
The funding will be used to simplify deployment, broaden KPI coverage and expand the actions Operators can carry out and verify. Augmeta was founded by Salman Jamali, Arslan Jamali and Nitin Bhaskaran, who previously held product and engineering leadership roles at Amazon, Opendoor and Home Depot.
