Danish Startup 2021.AI Raises €3.6M in Bridge Funding

Copenhagen-based 2021.AI, a leader in Responsible AI, has secured DKK 28M (€3.6M) in a bridge funding round, with participation from DNV Ventures and existing investors. This funding will support the company as it prepares for a larger round in Q1 2025.

CEO and founder Mikael Munck expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are delighted to welcome DNV as an investor and partner. This is the perfect match for 2021.AI as we aim to enhance our AI Governance offering via the GRACE AI platform.”

Founded in 2016, 2021.AI focuses on democratizing AI technology through its GRACE AI platform, which prioritizes responsible AI implementation and governance in line with global regulations. The partnership with DNV, an assurance and risk management provider, will help meet the growing demands for AI regulation compliance, including the EU AI Act.

Nermina Ek, Investment Director at DNV Ventures, noted, “We have followed 2021.AI for a while, and their progress in establishing themselves as a leader in Responsible AI solutions is impressive.”
